Wedding Fanfares is made up from members of Sydney Brass and has over 25 years experience specializing exclusively in the Ceremonial aspect of the wedding music business.

Please note: the Wedding Fanfares ensemble do not provide dance music or DJ’s as we only supply music for the Wedding Ceremony.

One of Australia’s finest musicians will personally design the music accompaniment to your wedding ceremony. Our aim is to help you make your special occasion as joyous as possible.

Wedding Fanfares offers a unique service in providing the perfect musical background to enhance that special occasion whether it be a traditional church wedding with a Grand Pipe Organ and trumpets, an intimate garden setting with a brass ensemble or string quartet or a park setting with a brass band.

From the spectacular sound of Trumpet and Grand Organ or the resounding flourishes of an ensemble of Brass and Drums or the lush tones of a String Quartet; Paul Goodchild (Sydney Symphony Orchestra) and Sydney Brass will complement your special occasion. Why use a brass ensemble?

Unlike string and woodwind instruments, the sound of brass is very effective in a variety of spaces, large or small, indoor or outdoor, any setting is ideal as no amplification is required. Be it background music or a resounding flourish of fanfares, the sound of brass enhances any occasion.

Who are Wedding Fanfares?

Wedding Fanfares was formed in 1980 by Sydney based musician Paul Goodchild. He joined the Sydney Symphony Orchestra nearly 30 years ago and is also Musical Director of Sydney Brass. Wedding Fanfares brings together instrumentalists with a vast array of musical talent and expertise. With his wealth of experience and colleagues in the professional music world, Paul is able to capture that perfect sound to make your wedding ceremony one to remember.

How much does it cost?

Prices start from $250 (inc GST). A list of our costs can be found on the Fee Schedules page. Have I heard these musicians elsewhere?

Members of Sydney Brass can be heard as part of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, with the Bell Shakespeare Company, on TV mini-series (Potato Factory, On The Beach), at the Sydney Opera House, in TV commercials and during many live festival performances in and around Sydney. In 2001 members of the Sydney Brass were featured during the Sydney Olympics, performing at the Opening Ceremony celebrations and other special events during the Olympiad. Most of the pieces with organ accompaniment can be arranged for brass ensemble and limited arrangements for string quartet are also available.
